In the early nineties I started up a sound with friends from the Chiswick area, where we played in a Chiswick wine bar, but mostly I did house parties, family occasions and BBQs.
In 1997 I acquired a spot in a club in Crete in the Greek Isles called R’n’B Club and did two seasons there between 1997 and 1999.
This Promotions & Entertainment media Company grew and another branch was formed in the Midlands for the DJ Agency side of the business, we researched and created opportunities for up and coming DJs and managed bookings for established DJs. Meanwhile, the London branch continued the UK and overseas promotions and entertainment, maintaining exclusive premier appearances in Crete and Edinburgh for many well known DJs and club nights, in addition, accomplished a new development in the music stage management industry, using my Audio Visual skills and experience I was recruited for my services as Stage Manager for Music Production Industry workshops & Asst.
Technical Producer to the Urban Music Festival which is run twice yearly in the South Bank Complex. In September 2004 acted as stage manager for the Grenada Disaster Aid UK Charity Concert in conjunction with the record production company and a West London community radio station, all donations are for the Grenadian community who suffered at the unmerciful hands of Hurricane Ivan.
Currently, my love for music and entertaining the people has led me back to the turntables (and now CD decks… I’m trying to stay away from the Dark Side) back to carrying heavy record boxes, back to the Blues parties, BBQs, club nights and family functions… can’t get enough!!! 2003 I joined a Streetsounds sound system from West London back to the lumping speaker boxes and amps heavier than a small car around!!! Don’t you just miss it!
I recently ran a night in a well-known wine bar in South London for 2 years every first Monday of the month, then Tuesdays’ and then Wednesdays’ of the month. Many other bookings followed including BBQs, birthday parties and dinner & dance functions, my latest venture is radio, I have been on a few community stations within London. I’m hoping to spread my love for music and people’s entertainment on a larger scale… Hey, what other bigger scale could be reached to spread the vibe? Ah Yes! The Notting Hill Carnival……………
